ABOUT THIS PROJECT

Matrix Sensors is a MEMS sensor company whose mission is to enable chemical sensing for next generation mobile devices, wireless sensor networks, appliances, and wearable devices for home, health and fitness. Applications include indoor air quality monitoring (CO2, Volatile Organic Compounds, and Relative Humidity) for personal wellness, ethanol sensing for mobile breathalyzers, and various hazardous materials detection for safety and security. Matrix Sensors has the only multi-channel, mass-based MEMS sensor technology that allows measurement of multiple gases on a single chip. The sensors are manufactured in a standard, scalable silicon wafer process that can meet the stringent power, size, and cost requirements of the mobile device market.
